Purpose

Two complementary initiatives are transforming Indonesia's national education infrastructure. The first — Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) — has already delivered 287,000 screens to schools across Indonesia's most remote regions, fulfilling Phase 1 of the President's vision to bring quality education to every corner of the archipelago. Phase 2 scales this to 3 IFPs per classroom, with long-term credit financing arranged and manufacturing planned domestically in Indonesia. The second initiative is a K-12 language education platform, with Phase 1 content already delivered and $60 million invested in content production. Both initiatives are ready to proceed — both are awaiting direction on where to house them within the national development framework and who the appropriate contracting authority is.
